Cowbell launches the first licensed-to-operate hot air balloon in Ghana

Cowbell has once again set the pace by partnering with the Ministry of Tourism in Ghana to launch the first licensed-to-operate hot air balloon in the country. The project, dubbed “Cowbell In The Sky”, saw the hot air balloon tour different regions in the country with the aim of projecting the tourism offerings of Ghana. During the two-week tour, several Ghanaians from different communities woke up to the beautiful sight of a massive Cowbell-branded hot air balloon floating above them.

Addressing the media in Accra, Sales and Marketing Director for Promasidor Ghana Limited, Mr. Timo Van Vooren, said he was happy Ghanaians warmly welcomed the project. “We are very excited about the success of this project, we trended on social media and most traditional media houses shared exciting visuals of the project with their audience. Our engagement with different media channels gave us an estimated reach of 8.4million people,” Mr. Van Vooren explained.

The thrill around the project went a notch higher as the brand engaged some influential media personalities who shared visuals of their experiences in the balloon on social media.

Renowned Belgium balloonist, Koen Audenaert led the team to fly the hot air balloon from selected tourist sites, which include Shai Hills, Elmina Castle, Cape Coast Castle, Mole Park and others.

We plan to make an even bigger impact next year and reach out to more young girls to make a difference.
