Cowbell hands over eight boreholes to beneficiary communities across Ghana

Eight communities across the country have benefitted from the ongoing Cowbell borehole project. A total of 20 boreholes are expected to be constructed in areas dotted across the country by the end of year. Speaking at a brief ceremony to commission the first borehole at Domeabra in New Abriem, Managing Director for Promasidor Ghana, Mr. Festus Tettey, expressed his excitement about the project. “As the world celebrates the 20th anniversary of the establishment of World Milk Day on 1st of June this year, we are glad to have rolled out this community support borehole project which coincidentally forms part of the activities culminating with the 20th anniversary celebration of the Cowbell brand in Ghana. Cowbell is keen on providing quality milk to meet the nutritional needs of the Ghanaian society. It goes without saying that the realisation of the nutritional benefits of Cowbell can only be achieved with potable water,” Mr. Tettey said. He further reiterated the timeliness of the project as Ghanaians and the world at large are encouraged to wash their hands under running water and with soap to prevent the spread of COVID-19. Beneficiary communities have welcomed the initiative with great joy. All leaders of the eight communities expressed their appreciation to Cowbell for extending a helping hand, especially during the time of COVID-19.
